First of all I’d like to welcome you all to my blog. So, I’m sure there will be different reasons as to why you’ve clicked on this, but regardless you’re here so welcome!
As this is my first blog, and its somewhat still the start of the new year, i thought I’d talk about my aspirations for 2018. I’m not really into to “new year, new me” sort of thing, but i think its good idea to have goals in life for things I’d like to change and grow on. So here’s a few things I’m going to work on within the new year;
1. Try and get organised!
I can keep saying my life is an organised mess and try and convince to myself that it’s okay but, that wont get anything sorted. I’m not going to sit here and say I’m one of those girls that has all my clothes colour coordinated and wakes up at 6:30am, because I’m not. If I can stay in bed 10 minutes longer and eat breakfast running out the house I will, but I’ve learnt over time that’s not a good way to start the day.
So, to start off I’m going to try and get up that little bit earlier than normal; NOT press snooze on my alarm because I know in 8 minutes times that alarm will go off again. It’s not like I would’ve have gained 8 minutes sleep as I’m laying there thinking I should get up, but I’m too cosy. Continuing with the morning theme, rather than spending ages trying to find an outfit to wear to work, I’m going to try get it ready the night before. So I’m not just throwing loads of clothes round my bedroom to end up wearing the outfit I wear all the time (jeans and a jumper).
2. Make more memories and take more pictures.
Looking back at all my mums old pictures – when i was younger with my family or even before I was born – is one of my favourite things. I want to be able to have boxes of photos in 30 years time and look back at all the memories. I love taking pictures and there’s just something about looking back at old pictures and it bring back memories; I just love it! Maybe I’ll get a real good camera rather than just using my iPhone this year as well.
Every opportunity I get I want to be making memories with my family and friends. Obviously, working full time does put a limit on what I can do in the week, so I wont be jetting off to Paris anytime soon (As much as i REALLYYYY want to go) but just going to the beach and doing other stuff rather than staying in bed watching gossip girl all weekend.
3. Smile more and be Grateful
This one is something that’s so simple but so easily forgotten about. I will admit, I can be one of those people that walks around with a resting bitch face: I’m thinking that I’d rather be in bed or my mind is too fixated on the things I need to do, but a smile does go a long way. This world is full of so much negativity in everyday events and in the media, a smile can quickly change your mood and can also change someone’s day. I believe in the law of attraction and that like attracts like, the more you are appreciative and are happy the more we will receive these things back. I’m not going to go into that too much as i will do another post on it soon.
Staying on the topic of negativity, in everyday events and in the media it does put everyone in a bad mood and people forget to think of all the things they should be grateful for. I have decided everyday I’m going to sit down and write 3 different things I am grateful for. We do take some thing for granted and people less fortunate than us wish to have the things we do and the people we have in our lives.
4. Try blogging once a week.
I do find blogging interesting, even if only one person is reading this (and that’s my dad)that’s still something. We all have to start somewhere! I want to help people with different things and talk about my life, but mainly this is for myself, it’s something I enjoy.
So this is the start of my new chapter.
